Small and very powerful. Holds a charge all day while installing electrical equipment. I made a hook and loop holder for various bits and attached it to the drill so I don't have to stop and find a bit. B&D should include a bit holder to make it truly ideal. I feel for the money it should have a adjustable clutch and a variable speed trigger.The unit is small and compact which makes it nice, and the battery holds a charge for a good time span. If this tool was 20 or 30 dollars a clutch and an adj speed trigger would not be expected, but for 50 or more dollars, these options should be standard. The button to reverse rotation is cheap and often takes a lot of pressure to change over. I also dislike the 5 or 6 hr charge time it takes to charge the battey. The trigger feels cheap, and i fear in a few months will be one of the first things to break. Overall for the money i would not recommend it.I paid like 58 dollars, and feel for a little more money you could get a much better tool from another manufacturer. update- 2/27/08 i have returned the tool, due to the trigger breaking. The trigger would intermittently not operate the tool, it started to be once and a while then... I am surprised this item is not carried in stores--it would make a terrific gift for the mom's and handywomen out there who need a lighter weight tool than anything I have seen carried at home improvement or hardware stores. It also has a nice carrying case with the bits in a removable velcro pocket. I highly recommend it. |
